::- (1) In addition to the medical expenses received under sub-rule (1) of Rule 94, based on the recommendation of the Medical Board constituted by the Government of Nepal for the treatment of any civil servant or his spouse in the country or abroad, in addition to the medical expenses of the following committee In the recommendation, the additional financial assistance amount deemed appropriate by the Government of Nepal will be given:-
(a) Secretary to the Ministry of General Administration – Chairman
(b) The secretary of the agency where the civil servant who is entitled to additional financial assistance or his designated representative - member
(c) Secretary of the Ministry of Finance or his designated representative – Member
(d) Senior doctors appointed by the Ministry of Health and Population - Member
(e) Central President of Official Trade Union of Civil Servants – Member
(2) The committee under sub-rule (1) when recommending funds for additional financial assistance, in case of serious illness, will recommend a maximum of five lakh rupees according to the bill of the amount incurred during treatment. Explanation :- For the purpose of this rule, 'Critical Disease' shall refer to diseases related to kidney, heart and cancer.
(3) Government of Nepal may create and implement separate guidelines regarding additional financial assistance.
